E-Signature Configuration

Configure electronic signature for signing CRFs, Events, and Subjects in clinical trials.

Overview​

The Signature app enables investigators and study staff to electronically sign CRFs, Events, and Subjects to finalize clinical data. Access it from Home → select your study → Signature.

There is no additional configuration required for the Signature app. The app is enabled or disabled at the study level. Once installed, it is immediately available for use by authorized roles.

How It Works​

Once enabled on a study, the Signature app allows users to:

  • Sign CRFs — Electronically sign individual Case Report Forms to mark them as finalized
  • Sign Events — Sign an entire event to indicate all data within it is complete and verified
  • Sign Subjects — Sign at the subject level to finalize all study data for that participant

Access Requirements​

Signature capabilities depend on user roles and study configuration. Typically:

  • Investigators can sign CRFs, Events, and Subjects
  • CRCs may have limited signing permissions
  • All signatures are audit-trailed with timestamp and user identity
