Authentication Methods

Configure password policies and authentication requirements for user accounts, including password complexity, expiration, and reuse rules.

Overview

Authentication Methods allow system administrators to define password policies that apply to all user accounts. Access this section via AdministrationsSystem SettingsAuthentication Methods.

Password Policy

Configure the requirements users must follow when creating or changing passwords.

Password Complexity

SettingDescription
Minimum lengthMinimum number of characters required (e.g., 8 characters)
Lower case charactersRequire at least one lowercase letter (a–z)
Upper case charactersRequire at least one uppercase letter (A–Z)
DigitsRequire at least one number (0–9)
Special charactersRequire at least one special character: !@#$%&*()

Enable or disable each requirement based on your organization's security needs.

Password Expiration

SettingDescription
Password expiration time (in days)Number of days after which users must change their password (e.g., 360 days)

Additional Options

SettingDescription
User is required to change password (after first login)?When set to Yes, new users must change their password the first time they log in. Default: No
Allow user login on multiple devicesWhen set to Yes, users may be logged in from multiple devices simultaneously. Set to No to enforce single-device access. Default: Yes

Two-Factor Authentication (2-FA)

SettingDescription
Force all users enable 2-FA methodWhen set to Yes, all users must configure and use a two-factor authentication method to log in. Default: No

Saving Changes

Click Submit to save the password policy. Changes apply to new passwords and password changes; existing sessions are not affected until the next login.
